Scope: Designed and built control panels and associated SCADA system for municipal water system.
Summary: Using the decades of experience from ICAD engineers, the City of Kerman is now able to remotely monitor and control its wells and waste lift stations. VFD’s are used to reduce power consumption while increasing the life of the mechanical unit. Proactive alarms within the system automatically call operators during fault events to reduce the impact of any adverse events or damage to the water system.
We are the go-to referral for municipal water projects and so it was not surprising, with our responsive reputation and quality workmanship, to have an opportunity to work with the City of Kerman. This project required 12 well site supply controls, MCC, and integration with SCADA back to the main water treatment plant. This design utilized AVEVA (formerly Wonderware) and required our team to work cross-functionally with other engineering firms.
The complexities inherent within such a system as complex as municipal water systems would challenge anyone but not our expert teams – our qualifications have been proven time after time year after year. Water delivery systems are exceptionally complicated and require the best engineers to design reliable, efficient systems. This project also included a VFD variable frequency drive, automation direct touch screens and supplies from GE and Siemens. All electrical expertise was completed by our sister company, LIghthouse Electrical, to ensure all electrical projects met our high-quality standards.
