A huge part of keeping our communities safe includes having a reliable water distribution system that is operationally efficient. A municipality in California’s Central Valley understood the importance of this infrastructure and sought our team’s expertise. In this project, our team was tasked with upgrading outdated PLCs and HMIs for three wells.
The project included the installation of Emerson RX3i PLCs and the addition of logic to the existing program to implement chlorine pumps at all sites.
Project Objectives:
- Upgrade the outdated PLCs and HMIs to the new Emerson RX3i PLCs.
- Implement new logic for chlorine pumps across all well sites.
- Convert existing programs to be compatible with the newly installed PLCs.
